A Night to Remember: ID21’s Double Win At The Singapore Good Design Awards 2022
06 Sep 2022
Following similar success in 2021 with our CapitaLand and Collins Aerospace projects, we are honoured to have attained the coveted SG Mark under the Interior Design category at this year’s Singapore Good Design Awards 2022 for our work with Prudential and Watsons.
After a two-year hiatus, the award ceremony was held in-person on 25 August 2022 at the Cloud Piazza at Jewel Changi Airport, followed by a gala dinner hosted by Design Business Chamber Singapore (DBCS). We had the privilege to be among 90 of the best and brightest of the local design community, gathered with the common purpose of celebrating innovation in design.
As the Guest of Honour, Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment said at the gala dinner, “Design has indeed been a core element of our nation building, and all of you present here have contributed to this cause. Design will continue to be of paramount importance to our future, as we seek to understand and define the problems we face, invest in research and development, prototype, test innovative ideas, review the solutions, and scale them up to address our challenges.”
About Our Winning Projects
Prudential Assurance Company Singapore
ID21 was tasked to transform Prudential Assurance Company Singapore (Prudential)’s seven-floor workplace into one that not only projects the company’s brand identity, but also addresses the distinctive needs and preferences of the corporate team and some 33 agencies.
Responding to this diverse brief, we transformed the 66,080 square feet space at Level 6-12 of UE Bizhub West into a nature-inspired, activity-based working (ABW) space for Prudential. Driven by a clear design vision to create an open and collaborative workplace that reflects the company’s brand values and commitment to well-being, the result is a cohesive environment that addresses their distinctive needs and preferences.
For Watsons Singapore, we designed and built a workplace that not only reflects the company’s vibrant brand identity, but also promotes collaboration and ideation.
Responding to the evolving needs of employees in the new normal, we created an activity-based workplace where employees have a variety of individual and shared places to work or collaborate with others. By embedding the company’s brand identity and ethos into the office environment, the result is a workplace that amplifies Watsons’ company culture, inspires employees and boosts interaction.
Our winning projects will be showcased through a series of pop-up exhibitions held across the island. Do check them out at the following locations!
• 17-30 September 2022: Fusionopolis One, Level 1 Atrium
• 10-16 October 2022: Raffles City, Level 3
• 17-30 October 2022: Jewel Changi Airport, Level 1
To generate participation from members of the public, a People’s Choice Award will be given to the top three projects with the highest number of votes. Register an account to cast your vote and do support us!
It’s truly an honour to be recognised by the industry, and we couldn’t have done it without our partners Prudential and Watsons, who gave us the opportunity to translate our design vision into reality, and for their unwavering trust and support throughout the project.
