The design process facilitated a bottom-up approach with ideas identified by an employee committee and shared with management for consideration. Taking into account that Satair originated from Denmark and with this new facility in Asia, spaces were created to attract a diverse workforce with its modern, minimalistic, open, eco-friendly and naturally illuminated interiors.
Satair, a leading global provider of parts, services and solutions for the civil aerospace industry, engaged ID21 to transform the company’s new 30,000 sqft, 2-storey supply chain facility. Our scope included the design and build of the reception and guest facilities, rooftop terrace, meeting/board/training rooms, general open-concept offices, repair workshop and subsidiary spaces for Telair and Airbus.
Our design, project and safety teams worked seamlessly with the building contractor and consultants to improve SATAIR’s operational efficiency and achieve a Green Mark Gold building rating.
As this was a pre-TOP project, we needed to coordinate and complete the project under a rigorous schedule and also to meet regulatory, technical and risk management compliance requirements. The project was handed over successfully, and this allowed the client to proceed with compliance inspections required by the aeronautical industry.
"Our experience working with ID21 has been overall fantastic and superb...They have been extremely forthcoming throughout the whole period. We would recommend ID21 at anytime and we have done so already."
