Synergy Marine Group, a global provider of specialised maritime solutions, tasked ID21 with redesigning its existing office to accommodate a growth in their headcount. The revamped workplace must also project its core values represented by the abbreviation i-STEER (Integrity, Safety, Transparency, Empathy, Empowerment and Respect).
To reflect Synergy Marine Group’s unparalleled expertise as a ship management company, we incorporated various nautical-inspired elements into our design. For example, the reception area and meeting rooms’ curved interiors were inspired by the architectural shapes of ship vessels, while the entrance featured windows resembling portholes.
Using curves for the interior design of the reception makes it warm, modern and welcoming for employees and visitors alike. Upon entering the office, one’s attention is also drawn to the ceiling’s curvilinear shapes. An eye-pleasing moss wall featuring abstract curves inspired by the company’s corporate logo further accentuates the entrance area.
To facilitate the transition to an open plan layout, we incorporated a broad range of flexible spaces to address different functional needs and empower employees to decide where and how they wish to work at the office. Enclosed phone rooms that afford privacy blend seamlessly with open collaboration spaces, creating a diverse work environment.
Synergy Marine Group’s new workspace has been designed to support the organisation’s employee needs, enhance their workflow and facilitate interaction. We have created an inspiring space that aims to support the company’s future growth, putting them in good stead to be at the helm of innovative and high-quality maritime solutions in Singapore and beyond.
